The team is responsible for providing strategy and transactional support for existing businesses and "hands-on" execution for new businesses. This team is composed of Vietnamese professionals with international experience.
Chief Strategy Officer - Dr. Minh Van Tran
Dr. Minh Van Tran is Head of the New Business and Subsidiary Development team.
He has over 12 years of experience in marketing research, marketing/sales consulting, management accounting and financial modeling.
Prior to Masan Group, Dr. Minh worked for Masan Food Corporation where he was Marketing Research / Management Accounting Director.
Before joining Masan Food, Dr. Minh worked for ACNielsen Vietnam as a Measurement Science Controller & Research Executive.
He also was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania (USA), teaching assistant / computer programmer at the University of Waterloo (Canada), McMaster University (Canada) and Dun & Bradstreet Canada.
Director - Michael H. Nguyen
Mr. Michael H. Nguyen is Head of M&A and Corporate Finance, responsible for sourcing and evaluating growth opportunities, deal execution and collaborating with the Group's subsidiaries and affiliated companies
Before joining the Masan Group, Michael was an investment banker at JPMorgan, where he helped build out the firm's Vietnam investment bank execution team and worked on M&A, capital markets and privatization transactions with FIG, real estate and consumer clients.
Prior to Vietnam, Michael was an associate managing the New York office’s corporate derivative solutions practice for the investment bank, working with multinational clients to help them structure market risk management programs, evaluate capital structures, and explore alternative financing strategies.
Michael graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in Sociology.
Director - Preetinder S. Panjrath
Preetinder is a graduate of the MBA program from INSEAD, France, and holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab.
Vice President - Hanh N. Huynh
Ms. Hanh N. Huynh is responsible for expanding Masan’s portfolio of businesses to overseas markets.
Before joining the Masan Group, Hanh was an equity research associate for five years at global multi-billion asset management firm AllianceBernstein in New York, where she performed fundamental and quantitative research and analysis for Alliance Growth Equities U.S. large-capitalization equity research team covering technology and business services.
Hanh graduated magna cum laude from University of San Francisco with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Vice President - Samresh Kumar
Samresh has 8+ years of rich experience in private equity, management consulting, investment banking and business development, across diverse sectors and various geographies (India/ Middle-East/ Russia/ Africa).
Prior to joining the Masan group, Samresh was leading his entrepreneurial boutique investment banking firm in India, assisting mid-market companies in raising PE/ VC finance and providing M&A advisory services. Before that, he worked as a private equity professional with SUN Group for around 3 years, analyzing/structuring/executing investment opportunities (and post investment monitoring), primarily in the Energy and Pharmaceutical space, across various geographies (India/ Russia/ Africa).
Prior to his MBA, he worked as a management consultant with Accenture for 3 years, advising top management of clients across various industries like Cement, Aluminum and Life Insurance in different functions (manufacturing/ materials etc) in India and Middle-East.
Samresh graduated with a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India.
Senior Associate - Paritosh Gupta
Mr. Paritosh Gupta is responsible for sourcing and evaluating M&A/venture capital opportunities, deal execution and collaborating with the Group's subsidiaries and affiliated companies. In addition, he manages the Business Development team’s junior resources, responsible for projects assignments and professional development.
Prior to joining the Masan Group, Paritosh worked at Lehman Brothers in its Asia Special Situations Group, a proprietary investment desk. As part of the team, he evaluated potential investment opportunities across the capital structure in mid-market and private companies in India. His role involved a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the industry and the company as well as interacting with investee company management pre and post investment. He was also responsible for monitoring existing investments from a fundamental and capital markets perspective.
Paritosh has a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Senior Associate – Danny Le
Associate - Anh Thao Nguyen
Ms. Anh Thao Nguyen is responsible for assisting Business Development team to achieve its objectives.
Before joining Masan, Anh was Senior Analyst at KPMG Corporate Finance (Singapore). Anh’s focus was assisting international and local companies on business valuations and fair opinions, for M&A, restructuring and financial reporting purposes. As part of Corporate Finance team, Anh also assisted in M&A projects.
Anh holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance specialisation) from Nanyang Business School, Singapore.
Analyst - Van Hong Nguyen
Ms. Van Hong Nguyen is responsible for assisting the senior investment professionals in researching, analyzing, appraising growth opportunities and performing value-added work for Masan’s subsidiaries and affiliated companies.
Before joining the Masan Group, Van was an investment analyst for Asset Management Consulting AG of Switzerland where she was responsible for equity, industry, economic and regulatory research. Her output assisted the firm’s investment decisions.
Van graduated Banking Institute and University of Social Sciences and Humanities in HCMC.
Chief Legal Counsel - Tran Quang Chuc
Chuc is responsible for legal structuring and execution for financing transactions, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Masan Group, Mr. Tran was a lawyer for Allens Arthur Robinson and YKVN Lawyers.
He was also Chief Legal Counsel for TNK Capital Partners. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Tran was a lecturer at the Hanoi Banking Institute.
