At Masan Group’s Q2/2025 investor meeting, Chief Technology Officer Yuri Misnik emphasized that the objective of digital transformation is to simplify processes, optimize costs, and enhance data-driven decision-making. Platforms such as artificial intelligence (AI) and real-time data systems are being deployed with agility to address the challenges of operating at scale.One of the flagship solutions is WiNARE-an AI-and data-driven automated ordering system that replaces traditional manual methods. WiNARE enhances accuracy in demand forecasting, reduces errors, and improves the supply of fresh products to consumers.
The system has also proven its financial impact by saving millions of USD annually, reducing product losses, and significantly cutting the workload for staff. As a result, sales teams now have more time to focus on customer service rather than manual administrative tasks.
Beyond operational efficiency, WiNARE strengthens competitiveness in fresh categories-considered Masan’s distinctive edge. Automation ensures a steady supply of fresh products while minimizing spoilage, thereby reinforcing customer trust in the brand.
Cost Optimization and Operational Excellence
The benefits of WiNARE are evident in practice. In a pilot program across 614 stores in Ho Chi Minh City, spoilage rates in the chilled meat category dropped nearly 2% in just four months (May-August 2025). This translated into tens of billions of VND in monthly cost savings.
At the same time, shelf availability improved from 80% to nearly 90% over the same period, while inventory levels remained reasonable. Ensuring product availability not only boosted sales but also enhanced the shopping experience, improving customer retention.

According to the rollout plan, by the end of 2025, nearly 70% of categories at WinCommerce will be operated automatically or semi-automatically. WiNARE will also expand into frozen foods, fresh produce, seafood, and ready-to-eat categories.
